Satoshi Fujinuma is a Japanese base wood artist. He has had a life long interest in the natural world, initially graduating from a environmental chemistry degree. It was by chance, in 1993, that Fujinuma saw woodturing while traveling in New Zealand. From 1996 he begun his self education and exploration into wood as a artistic medium. From there he began to create object in wood to express nature.
