Furniture maker Rolf Barfoed’s masterful pieces would take pride of place in any home or business around the world. So it is not hard to see why he is considered one of Australia’s most exciting up and coming furniture designers and craftsmen.
Educated and trained in Canberra, Rolf won gold in the 2008 WorldSkills Australia National Championship placing him first among the nation’s young cabinetmakers.
He went on to study in Britain under leading furniture craftsman Richard Williams before returning to work with Churchill Fellow Evan Dunstone in Canberra.
Described by his peers as the ‘master of the crisp line and the soft curve’ and as having ‘virtuosic hands’ and ‘sublime detailing skills’, since opening his own studio Rolf has been putting those skills to work crafting bespoke pieces for clients throughout the Canberra region and beyond.
