Jochen Heinzmann works and lives in Murrumbateman/Australia with his family, a golden labrador and a small flock of alpacas and sheep. In a previous life, he worked in a small safety technology company and had many opportunities to travel and see the world. His focus is now much more local, and he is especially passionate about the regional wood working community who share his passion for great woodwork.
Jochen had wanted to start a contemporary woodwork business for many years and when his 40th birthday came and went – and he was still working in his corporate career – his passion to work with timber eventually got the better of him. So along and with his partner Belinda he decided to take the plunge and turn what had been a much loved hobby into a full time occupation.
Jochen plans to release new designs at a considered rate. As he believes strongly in quality of design and craftsmanship, and both designing and realisation of a new design requires patience, and often at the end there is a big pile of broken parts from trying many ways that didn’t work. He plans to grow his product range gradually and always put quality and the customer’s experience first.
